The systems offer snapshot and replication functionality to protect valuable data sets against critical threats. Space-efficient snapshots can serve as granular recovery points. Replication functions enable users to create data copies within and across systems that can be readily leveraged to resume production when original data is corrupt.

In addition, ZFS offers end-to-end data integrity, eliminates silent data corruption and prevent data inconsistence as a result of power outages. RAID technology (RAID0/1/5+Hot Spare/6/6+Hot Spare/10) adds another layer of protection.
